Book Now!Best Friends Fur EverSM Dog Daycare with Lots of Outdoor Fun!
Like humans, dogs are social beings and benefit from positive interactions with other dogs. By bringing your dog to daycare for group play, they learn social skills with both humans and dogs, as well as receive exercise and enjoyment throughout the day. Daycare provides positive mental and physical stimulation, which will leave your dog happy and tuckered out by pickup time!
We believe dogs enjoy their stay with us the most when they are in groups of dogs that are around the same size and have similar play styles and temperaments. We have a “teeny” dog group by weight (under 30lbs), and the bigger dogs are strategically placed in groups that will optimize each of their socialization experience, play, safety, and exercise. Group sizes for the larger dogs range between 15 to 30 dogs per field. All these groups are supervised under the watchful eyes of trained, caring professionals so that dogs can live their best lives playing for several hours a day!
Dogs who love pack play thrive in our social group setting, where we focus on safe, balanced, and positive interactions.
What Sets Us Apart:
- Temperament Testing: Certified handlers evaluate every dog for safe playgroup placement.
- 4 Hours of Fresh Air Play: Balanced with rest periods to prevent overstimulation.
- Confidence Building: Supervised play helps dogs build social skills, stay active, and burn energy.
We Use A Rotational-Play Model
In our group daycare and overnight services, dogs follow a structured routine that balances active play with essential rest periods. Engaging in play sessions allows them to burn off excess energy, engage in positive social interactions, and maintain a healthy level of physical activity. Equally important, designated rest periods help prevent overstimulation, support muscle recovery, and reduce stress. This carefully designed balance promotes both physical and mental well-being, ensuring that dogs remain happy, healthy, and well-adjusted.
Our approach is supported by leading veterinarians who emphasize the importance of structured activity and rest for canine health. Research-backed insights show that alternating play and downtime helps regulate stress levels, prevents exhaustion, and supports long-term behavioral and physical wellness. By implementing this science-based approach, we provide an environment that nurtures each dog’s overall health and happiness.

Being new to Maryland and Baltimore, we have had trouble finding our favorite and most trusted places for things. Best Friends Fur Ever has been the greatest experience we’ve had in our first year here! From enrolling my fur babies over the phone with Sherri, to check-in and check-out at their “New Kid Day”, to the cute pics and report cards, plus their online client portal – it was all amazing! Even their assessments were very accurate and inline with our (3) dogs personalities. All of my interactions with staff were wonderful. We felt recognized and confident leaving the pups at BFFE. They offer daycare and boarding with other great services like training and grooming – it’s a one-stop-shop and we are so thrilled to have found them.

Play Safe Collars

For your dog’s safety, all guests are required to wear a breakaway collar while in our care. These collars are specially designed to release if your pup were to get caught on a playmate or object, helping prevent injuries.
- First Visit: New pups may rent a collar for their initial day.
- Returning Visits: A breakaway collar is required and can be purchased from us for $15.
Important Note: Breakaway collars are designed for safety during play. Please walk your dog into our resort using a standard leash and collar, as breakaway collars are not suitable for leash walking.
