Fourth of July Dog Boarding FAQs

Can I book dog boarding for Fourth of July at the last minute?

Yes! We know holiday plans don’t always happen months in advance. If we have availability, we’ll do everything we can to accommodate your dog. Fourth of July is one of our busiest weekends, so we recommend booking as soon as your plans are confirmed.

Do I need a New Kid Day before boarding?

No! Dogs that qualify for our Play My Way program do not need a separate New Kid Day before boarding. Simply create your account, upload your vaccination records, complete the required paperwork, and we’ll take it from there.

Where can I find dog boarding in Harford County?

If you’re looking for dog boarding in Harford County, Best Friends Fur Ever’s Joppa location offers personalized boarding, enrichment, and individualized care for every guest.

Where can I find dog boarding in Baltimore County?

Our Cockeysville location proudly serves families throughout Baltimore County, including Hunt Valley, Timonium, Towson, Perry Hall, White Marsh, Parkville, and surrounding communities looking for a trusted place for their dog to stay.

Do you offer dog boarding near the Chesapeake Bay Bridge?

Yes! Many families stop by before heading to the Eastern Shore, Ocean City, Delaware beaches, or crossing the Bay Bridge for the holiday weekend. We’re conveniently located to make drop-off easy before you hit the road.

Is boarding better than leaving my dog home during Fourth of July fireworks?

For many dogs, yes. Fireworks can be stressful, and the Fourth of July is one of the busiest weekends of the year for lost pets. At Best Friends Fur Ever, your dog stays in a secure, temperature-controlled environment with caring team members onsite 24/7. We also play TVs and calming music to help create a relaxing atmosphere, and we’re happy to administer veterinarian-approved calming supplements that you provide.

What should I pack for my dog’s boarding stay?

Please bring your dog’s food, any medications or supplements they need, and any feeding instructions. Our team will take care of the rest! If your dog has favorite treats or a special routine, let us know so we can help them feel right at home.

What vaccinations are required for boarding?

To help protect all of our guests, dogs staying at Best Friends Fur Ever must meet our required vaccination requirements. If you have questions about what’s needed, our team is happy to walk you through everything before your visit.

Is Best Friends Fur Ever a good option if my dog doesn’t enjoy group play?

Absolutely! Through our Play My Way program, we customize each dog’s experience based on their personality and comfort level. Some dogs love making new friends, while others prefer extra one-on-one attention or a quieter vacation—and that’s perfectly okay.

How do I reserve my dog’s stay?

It’s easy! Create your account online at:
