To attend daycare or boarding at Best Friends Fu Ever, dogs must complete the full Canine Influenza (CIV) vaccine series.
The CIV vaccine is a two-dose series administered two weeks apart. If the second dose is missed or given outside your veterinarian’s recommended timeframe, the series must be restarted.
Dogs are eligible to attend seven days after the second dose.
Accepted Vaccines
We accept either of the following:
• Nobivac® NXT Canine Flu H3N2
• Bivalent canine influenza vaccine (H3N2 + H3N8)
We highly recommend the Nobivac® NXT H3N2 vaccine, but encourage you to speak with your veterinarian about the best option for your dog.
Why This Requirement Matters
At BFFE, we care for dogs of all ages and health needs — including seniors and dogs with chronic medical conditions who may require a little extra support. Maintaining strong vaccination standards helps us create a safe, stable environment for every dog in our care.
Because our guests share play spaces, rest areas, and airspace, we take a proactive approach to community health. Requiring the CIV series allows us to protect vulnerable dogs while ensuring everyone can continue enjoying social play, enrichment, and overnight stays with confidence.
If you are planning Spring Break boarding or daycare, we encourage scheduling vaccinations as soon as possible to avoid any delays in eligibility.
Our team is always happy to review your dog’s records and answer questions.
