A brand of pet food has been recalled following the death of a cat that consumed a product contaminated with the bird flu virus.
Northwest Naturals has voluntarily recalled its “Turkey Recipe” raw frozen pet food, which is made up of 98% turkey meat, organs, and bones, after tests confirmed the presence of the virus.
Owners should know the signs of bird flu infection in their dogs and cats, which include:
- Fever
- Lack of energy
- Loss of appetite
- Stomach issues
- Seizures
