*COVID-19 UPDATES*
New Practices Start March 14
As we all are now aware, the CDC, the WHO, health experts, and government officials are implementing sweeping health-protective measures within the last 24 hours to identify, contain, and prevent the spread of human coronavirus in our communities and country.
Our vigilance in washing hands, disinfecting all surfaces, staying away from sick individuals, avoiding crowds, and employing “social distancing” practices and getting prompt testing and treatment for coronavirus will help all of us avoid transmission and infection of this serious disease.
Best Friends Fur EverSM management and staff have completed vigorous training about coronavirus and the necessary measures we need to implement immediately to ensure we are doing everything possible to prevent the spread of this virus.
Changes We’re Instituting – Effective March 14
- New Practices – Our new practices are being instituted to protect our owners and staff members and will go into effect on March 14th.
- Curbside Service – Starting on Saturday, March 14th, we will implement curbside service. When you drop off your dog at one of our facilities, one of our staff members will greet you at your vehicle and take your dog. When you pick up your dog, one of our staff members will bring your dog to your vehicle.
- Online Client Portal Will Close – Because we want the opportunity to speak with you about our policy changes and efforts to keep everyone safe, we will be closing our client portal and look forward to your call to 410-671-7529 to book your dog’s stay.
- All Tours Are Cancelled – For the safety of our dog owners and staff, all facility tours are canceled until further notice.
- Your Dog’s Emergency Kit – Remember to assemble an emergency package for your dog, including updated confirmation from your vet that your dog is up to date on their vaccinations for canine rabies, Bordetella, distemper, and canine flu.
What You Need to Know
Prior to the coronavirus outbreak, Best Friends Fur Ever has in place best practices to continuously monitor and prevent infection by contagious illnesses that could impact our four-legged friends, you, and our staff members. Here’s what you need to know.
- Clean Every Day – Our facilities and all surfaces are cleaned and disinfected completely every day.
- Airborne – We utilize the PetAirapy systems to continually circulate the air in our facilities to kill and neutralize viruses, bacteria, mold, and other germs before they have a chance to cause or spread illnesses or infection. PetAirapy protects animals and the humans who serve them against coronavirus and other infectious diseases (animal and human).
- Standard Procedures – These measures are part of our ongoing standard operating procedures.
