All our programs start with positive reinforcement – we never correct a dog until we know they understand what they’re being asked to do. A lot of training companies around us use corrective methods, often with a tool, to reach a desired behavior before the dog even knows what they’re supposed to do. We want to educate and encourage dogs, rather than penalize them for doing the “wrong” thing, especially when they don’t even know what the right thing to do is.
Once we know a dog understands what we’re asking of them, our trainers use several different techniques to reach a desired training goal. Every dog is different, so what works for one dog doesn’t always work for the next. We’re unique in the fact that our programs are not “one size fits all” – we do not decide what commands or tools a dog will need. Instead, our programs are customizable to meet a pet parent’s unique training goals.
